Up for sale this week on Ebay is a 1986 Toyota Mirage RV motorhome. This one in particular is very unusual with a rear bathroom. Others I have seen have a large rear ‘hatch” door at the rear which I understand was made to load a motorcycle. Those other models were more of a camper as they did not have a bathroom at all. These “puffball” rvs  are desirable as they are one piece fiberglass construction with no roof seams to leak. This 86 model was built on a Toyota cab and chassis with the 22RE fuel injected engine and 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. Somewhere along the line the rear axle was updated to the full floater 1ton and true dually wheels. The truck has air conditioning in the cab with roof air although advertised as not working.

The Mirage has just 60k miles on it and advertised to get an honest 12-16 mpg. There is too much to list that the owner has repaired or updated. The only thing missing would be a generator, but that would be an exceptional find in an RV this small.

Overall it appears to be in good condition. There are some dents and other maladies but to be expected for an RV that is 26 years old. At a starting bid of $8499 it won’t go cheap, but that should be a fair price for what Mirage RV’s go for.
